Housing Market Holds Steady in January

There was an upturn in sales during January as people engage in the search for a new home. Estate agents reported an average of 13 sales each in January, an increase from 8 per agent in December. 

 

Interest in people registering to buy properties was up by 4.6% compared to December.  Estate agents reported an average of 367 buyers each compared to 351 in December.

The Number of houses for sale increased in January by 29% which remains teh same as January 06.

These figures are indicative of continued confidence in the housing market as people continue to invest in bricks and mortar.
